Olympics

I have had the idea to package food for a picnic that could be taken too
or brought at the olympics. This is my first idea to combine the
food into the image of an olympic sport.

I would like these to be cut out really small and
packaged as confetti.

Christmas card

Again this christmas card will not have all the type
printed digitally as some parts will be foiled.

Crackers design

This will be one of the designs printed onto my christmas crackers.
It will be printed onto about 3 or 4 different colour stocks.

I am going to print the crackers with both italic and regular font.
I am also going to not print parts of the type as instead i am going
to foil them.

Test bows.

H. Samuel In Store

Christmas Brief direction

After thursday crit, Fred suggested i go into into Paperchase and look at the range of christmas products they have. This was a real eye opener as it made me realise how much more i can make for my own christmas range.
The range i plan to have now consists of...
- Crackers
- Sticker labels for packaging
- Advent calender
- Stockings (mock up)
- Baubles (mock up)
- Christmas cards
- Gift wrap
- Sweets (wrappers)
- Invitations for christmas parties
- Gift boxes
- Stickers to labels gifts
- Gift wrap ribbon
- Gift wrap bows
- Gift confetti

As you can see this range is now a lot bigger. I have also brought some different colour stock to print on to make the range bigger and some designs are going to be slightly different. I also still want to do foiling on most of the products to make them look really special and sophisticated.

H. Samuel packaging

Open publication - Free publishing - More h

Unfortunately when I went to print down at digital print today, i wanted to print onto black card but James informed me that it may not work as the printer will not detect the stock. We tried anyway however it did not work. I therefore printed on normal matte white paper but printed a black background. This worked ok but not the standard i wanted. When it can to crafting my designs into the bag, receipt holder, gift card, gift card sleeve etc the printed black on the stock became scratchy and kind of ruined the prints. I'm not sure how i am going to fix this yet so far the only way i can think of to resolve this is to screen print onto the black stock. I do not really want to have to do this is as its very time consuming. I think once photographed and modified they should look ok. I am also thinking of changing the background colour from black to a lighter colour. although i really like how the design of the star looks on the black.

These are the nets i will printing. They will look different once printed as they will be on black stock,
or a black background.

Jewellery boxes

I want to print the jewellery packaging onto black stock
and the type to be silver/grey. I want to keep it simple so
thats all that will be on the packaging. It will also come in a bag
and maybe gift wrap.
